The change from the Standard Time to DST the occurs each spring has no effect whatsoever on the GCS Proxipen acquisition unit. The Proxipen does not change automatically on the dates of these time changes.

GCS PROXIPEN

What does change automatically, is the system clock of every computer that runs a recent version of the Microsoft Windows operating system. The ProxiPen will continue to record data-point readings with the old time until the next time it is interrogated or downloaded by a computer whose system clock has been changed by Windows. At that point, the GCS software will display an error message that the clock in the ProxiPen does not agree with the computer's system clock; and it will require that the user re-synchronize the ProxiPen clock with the computer's system clock before proceeding. This is done by clicking the "Set to PC Date/Time" button on the configuration screen.

Hand readers can be updated from within the Jantek software. Go to clock -> Time Clock Configuration (Hand Reader) -> Configure RSI Reader. Select your site, the click on 'Read From Clock'. Go to the 4th tab 'Daylight'. If the reveision date of your jantek software is February 10, 2006 or later, simply click compute, then click 'Write to Clock'.
